BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team moved up into a tie for third after the second round of the Southern Conference Championship, held Tuesday at the Columbia Country Club (Par 72, 6,150 yards).
After two rounds Samford has a score of 35-over-par 611 (306-305) to tie with UNC Greensboro for third in the nine-team field. Furman leads the tournament with a two-round score of 593 (289-304).
Individually for Samford, senior
Anika Richards is tied for fourth in the 45-player field with a two-day total of five-over-par 149 (75-74).
Grace Engel comes in next for Samford in a tie for 14
th at 153 (78-75), while
Gabi Nicastro is in a tie for 17
th with a two-day score of 154 (76-78).
Kate Joyner is in a tie for 20
th at 155 (77-78).
Ella Stoll sits in 37
th with a two-day score of 174 (85-89).
