AIKEN, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team placed 13
th at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto, hosted by USC Aiken, Monday and Tuesday at Palmetto Golf Club (Par 70, 6,617 yards).
As a team, Samford fired a three-round total of 893 (303-296-294) to finish 13
th in the 15-team field. South Carolina won the event with a total of 838 (281-272-285).
Individually, Samford was led by David Woodliff, who tied for 23
rd out of 75 golfers with a total score of 217 (72-73-72).
Brian Boles tied for 37
th at 221 (74-73-74), while
Andrew Sullivan tied for 53
rd with a score of 225 (78-73-74).
Matthew Smith tied for 64
th with a three-round total of 230 (79-77-74).
Dylan Moncus finished 73
rd at 235 (81-77-77).
Samford will next play in the Craft Farms Intercollegiate, hosted by South Alabama in Gulf Shores, March 26-28.
