TUNICA, Miss. – The Samford men's golf team finished seventh at the Tunica National Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday at Tunica National (Par 72, 7,204 yards).
Samford finished with a three-round team total of 882 (290-293-299) to finish seventh in the 12-team field. Arkansas State and UT Arlington tied for first place with identical final scores of 863.
Davis Woodliff led Samford, tying for 14
th in the 71-player field, with a three-round score of 217 (70-71-76).
Matthew Smith tied for 19
th with a final score of 219 (72-73-74), while
Brian Boles tied for 22
nd at 220 (74-74-72).
Andrew Sullivan tied for 44
th at 228 (76-75-77), while
Damin Strydom tied for 48
th at 229 (74-77-78).
Craig Sanders played as an individual, with his score not counting towards the team total, placing 40
th with a score of 226 (76-77-78).
Samford will next compete in the Southern Conference Championship, April 23-25 in Greensboro, Ga.
