GAME NOTES--SAMFORD AT FLORIDA STATE (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Samford women's basketball team will wrap up its season-opening road swing with a game at Florida State Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) at the Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Bulldogs and Seminoles are playing for the sixth time, with FSU winning the previous five meetings. The closest game came in the first meeting in 2007, with FSU winning, 52-51.
The Samford women's basketball team enters Thursday night's game with a record of 0-3. The Bulldogs opened the 2024-25 season with a 101-53 setback at national power Tennessee and then followed that up with a 63-44 setback at Central Arkansas. Samford then fell at Memphis, 88-75.

Emily Bowman currently leads the team in both scoring (10.7 ppg.) and rebounding (11.3 rpg.), posting two double-doubles so far this season. Freshman
Claire Johnson is averaging 10.3 points per game, scoring in double figures in two of her first three collegiate games.
Annie Ramil is averaging 9.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She posted a double-double at Memphis with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The Florida State Seminoles enter Thursday night's game with a record of 2-1. FSU most recently hosted Florida A&M, earning a 93-54-win Monday evening.
Florida State has been led so far this season by Ta'Niya Latson, averaging 21.4 points and 4.2 assists per game. Makayla Timpson is averaging a double-double, scoring 14.3 points and grabbing 10.0 rebounds per contest. O'Mariah Gordon is averaging 13.2 points per game for the Seminoles, while Sara Bejedi is scoring 12.1 points per game.
