Yarbrough has been a starter for New Hope High School since the seventh grade. As a junior, she scored 2,000 points and she has been named the 4A Region MVP for the last two seasons. Brewer was named All-District, All-District Tournament, All-Region Tournament and All-State Tournament as a sophomore.
