MACON, Ga. – The Samford volleyball team fell at Mercer by a score of 3-0 (19-25, 12-25, 18-25) Saturday evening at Hawkins Arena.
With the loss, Samford fell to 13-11 overall and 7-7 in Southern Conference play. Mercer improved its record to 22-5 overall and 12-2 in league action.
Samford was led in the loss by
Kaleigh Meritt with seven kills and eight digs.
Gracie Lynn Butler also had seven kills for the Bulldogs.
Lexi Thatcher had 22 assists for Samford.
For Mercer, Skye Ekes had 14 kills. Meme Davis led the Bears in digs with 12, while Brooks Phillips had 10 digs.
Samford will return home to play host to UNC Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 15. The match is set for a 6:30 p.m. start from the Pete Hanna Center.
