GAME NOTES--SAMFORD AT TCU (PDF)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on the 12th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.. The game can be seen live on ESPN+.  
 
Samford and TCU are meeting for the first time ever in women's basketball.  
 
The Samford women's basketball team enters the weekend with a record of 4-8 after an 82-41 win over Miles College on Dec. 8. Samford has won its last two games, including a 67-61 overtime win at North Alabama on Dec. 5.
 
Samford junior center Emily Bowman ranks fifth in the Southern Conference in scoring (12.6 ppg.) and she leads the league in rebounding (10.3 rpg.), posting six double-doubles through the first 12 games of the season. At North Alabama, she set school records for rebounds (21) and blocked shots (8) to go along with her 15 points.
 
Sophomore guard Kennedy Langham is second on the squad in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game. Sadie Stetson is third on the squad in scoring, averaging 9.6 points per game so far this season. Samford freshman Claire Johnson is scoring 8.2 points per game, having scored in double figures in four games so far in her first collegiate season. Graduate forward Annie Ramil is currently averaging 7.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
 
The TCU Horned Frogs enter the game with a record of 10-1. TCU is coming off a 92-41 win over Louisiana Tech Sunday afternoon.
 
TCU has been led so far this season by Hailey Van Lith, averaging 19.9 points and 6.3 assists per game. Sedona Prince is averaging 17.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game for the Horned Frogs. Madison Conner is averaging 14.5 points per game for TCU.
