GAME NOTES--SAMFORD AT NORTH ALABAMA (PDF)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will travel to Florence, Ala., to take on the North Alabama Lions Thursday evening at 6 p.m. The game can be seen live on ESPN+.

Samford and North Alabama are meeting for the fifth time, with Samford holding a 3-1 series lead in the previous four games. The teams last met last season, with UNA earning a 69-64 win in the Pete Hanna Center.
 
The Samford women's basketball team enters the week with a record of 2-8 after a 79-71 loss at North Florida last Saturday afternoon.
 
Samford junior center Emily Bowman ranks sixth in the Southern Conference in scoring (12.7 ppg.) and she leads the league in rebounding (9.1 rpg.), posting five double-doubles through the first 10 games of the season. Sophomore guard Kennedy Langham is second on the squad in scoring, averaging 10.4 points per game.
 
Samford freshman Claire Johnson is scoring 9.3 points per game, having scored in double figures in four of her first 10 collegiate games. Sadie Stetson is averaging 9.1 points per game. Graduate forward Annie Ramil is currently averaging 6.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
 
The North Alabama Lions enter Thursday evening's game with a mark of 4-3 on the young season. The Lions are coming off a 62-48 win at Arkansas-Pine Bluff last Sunday.
 
UNA has been led so far this season by Charity Gallegos, averaging 10.9 points per game. Cameron Jones is averaging 9.2 points and a team-high 5.2 rebounds per contest. Alyssa Clutter is scoring 7.0 points per game for the Lions.
