Nicastro Finishes Second At Low Country Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Samford freshman Gabi Nicastro finished in a tie for second place at the Low Country Intercollegiate, held Friday through Sunday at Moss Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 6,009 yards).

"I'm proud of Gabi and especially proud of the team for the way we played today," Samford head coach Joe Davidson said. "It was windy at times out there today. This will be good prep for next month here at the SoCon Championship."

Nicastro finished with a three-round score of 222 (77-70-75) to tie for second in the 90-player field with Brianna Castaldi of ETSU. Bailey Dunstan finished in a tie for 11^th at 230 (78-74-78). A full list of Samford's players' scores is below.

As a team, Samford placed sixth in the 16-team field with a three-round score of 930 (319-307-304). ETSU won the event with a final score of 902 (299-303-300).

Samford will next play in the ULM Invitational, April 1-2, in Monroe, La.
