GAME NOTES--SAMFORD VS. BERRY COLLEGE (PDF)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will play host to the Berry College Vikings Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.

Samford and Berry College have met just one previous time. The lone previous meeting came on Dec. 7, 2010, with Samford earning a 95-59 win in a game played in the Pete Hanna Center.
 
The Samford women's basketball team enters the weekend with a record of 4-11 after an 81-66 loss to Eastern Kentucky last Sunday. Samford has a record of 3-3 in home games so far this season.
 
Samford junior center Emily Bowman ranks sixth in the Southern Conference in scoring (11.9 ppg.) and she leads the league in rebounding (9.7 rpg.) and blocked shots (2.2 bpg.). She has posted six double-doubles so far this season.
 
Sophomore guard Kennedy Langham is second on the squad in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game. Sadie Stetson is third on the squad in scoring, averaging 8.7 points per game so far this season.Graduate forward Annie Ramil is currently averaging 8.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Samford freshman Claire Johnson is scoring 8.0 points per game, having scored in double figures in five games so far in her first collegiate season.

The Berry College Vikings enter Saturday's game with a record of 10-3. Berry is coming off a 56-54 win at Guilford College last Sunday.
 
Berry has been led individually by Kenadie Lee, averaging 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game so far this season. Sylvia Kahoro is scoring 10.7 points per game. Elly Callihan is currently averaging 9.6 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game.
