BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford track and field program has announced its schedule for the 2026 indoor and outdoor portions of their season. The Bulldogs will compete in four indoor meets before the Southern Conference Championships and six outdoor meets before the conference championships. 

The Bulldogs look to extend their streak of domination in the SoCon as they have won six-straight indoor championships, team championships on the men's and women's sides. All indoor events for the Bulldogs will take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex. They open their 2026 season on Dec. 5 at the CCG Bham Collegiate Ice Breaker. They then host a two-day event on Jan. 16-17 and then compete in the South Alabama Invite on Feb. 1. Their final prep for the SoCon Championship, which takes place in Lexington, Vir. on Feb. 27-28, will take place on Feb. 13-14 at the Bulldogs Invite.

The outdoor portion of the Samford schedule starts on March 13-14 at the Montevallo Open. The Dogs stay in Birmingham at the end of the month at the UAB Open and host an on-campus event on April 24 at the Samford Classic. The Bulldogs will look to win their seventh-straight women's title and sixth-straight men's title on May 11-12 at the SoCon Championships in Cullowhee, N.C.

The Bulldogs return a handful of NCAA Regional qualifiers under head coach Rod Tiffin, including Bradley Franklin, Zephaniah Carico-McLennan, Carter Ellis, Arthur Chitty, Jaggerd Moore, Kyle Kaufelds, and Erin Long.
