CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Samford track and field teams will compete in the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships Monday and Tuesday at the Catamount Athletic Complex on the campus of Western Carolina University.
The Samford men's and women's teams have swept the last five championships in a row. The Samford women's team has won six outdoor championships in a row, while the men's team has won the last five consecutive championships.
Samford returns the individual SoCon champion from last season in eight different events, including the men's 110-meter hurdles (
Bradley Franklin), men's 4x400-meter relay, men's high jump (
Arthur Chitty), men's shot put (
Bryce Davis), men's discus (
Carl Henry), men's javelin (
Kyle Kaufelds), women's 800-meter run (
Grace Lueders) and the women's 4x400-meter relay.
Events will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. (CT), while Tuesday's schedule will begin at 8:15 a.m. (CT). Fans can follow the results live online at the following link:
