GAME NOTES--SAMFORD VS. ETSU (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's basketball team will play host to the ETSU Bucs Thursday night at 6 p.m. (CT) at the Pete Hanna Center.
 
Samford and ETSU have met 24 previous times, with the Bucs holding a 13-11 series lead. The teams met earlier this season in Johnson City, Tenn., with ETSU coming away with a 69-48 win over Samford.
 
The Samford women's basketball team is currently 8-16 overall and 3-5 in Southern Conference play after a 65-49 win over Mercer Saturday.
 
Samford redshirt junior 
Emily Bowman is leading the team in scoring (11.2 ppg.), rebounding (8.5 rpg.) and blocks (2.1). Sophomore guard 
Kennedy Langham has had 16 double-digit scoring games so far this season and is averaging 11.0 points per game.
 
Samford freshman 
Claire Johnson is third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game. She scored a career-high 30 points at UNC Greensboro, and she is currently third in the Southern Conference in three-point percentage at 40.8 percent.
 
Graduate forward 
Annie Ramil is currently averaging 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. 
Sadie Stetson is currently averaging 7.5 points per game so far this season. 
Aubrey Blankenship and 
Alonya Waldon have stepped into the starting lineup recently. Waldon is averaging 6.3 points and Blankenship is averaging 5.3 points per contest.
 
The ETSU Bucs enter Thursday night's game with a record of 14-10 overall and 5-4 in Southern Conference play. The Bucs most recently lost at UNC Greensboro, 61-56 on Saturday.
 
ETSU has been led so far this season by Courtney Moore, averaging 12.9 points per game. Braylyn Milton is averaging 11.8 points per game so far this season for the Bucs. Meghan Downing is the team leader in rebounding, grabbing 7.5 boards per contest.
