CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford men's tennis team picked up a 5-2 win at College of Charleston in its final non-conference match of the season Thursday afternoon.
 
With the win, Samford improved its record to 13-4. College of Charleston fell to 7-5 with the loss.
 
College of Charleston won the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 3 to take an early 1-0 lead.
 
In singles, Samford won at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 to come back for the 5-2 win.
 
At No. 1 singles, Sandeep Mohandoss defeated Mattia Bernardi, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. On the No. 2 singles court, Hayden Menon earned a 6-0, 7-5 win over Jake Sweeney. At No. 3 singles, J.B. Pickard defeated Eddie Vo, 6-2, 6-1.
 
At No. 5 singles, Will Gray defeated Juan Die Rojas Mora, 7-5, 7-5. On the No. 6 singles court, Vitorio Sardinha defeated Jake Smith, 6-4, 7-6.
 
Next up, Samford will return to SoCon play with a home match against Chattanooga on Friday, March 21. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
