GAME NOTES--SAMFORD VS. CREIGHTON (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University baseball team will play host to the Creighton Bluejays in a three-game series this weekend at Joe Lee Griffin Field. The teams are scheduled to play Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. All three games can be seen on ESPN+.
Samford and Creighton will be meeting for the first time ever in baseball.
Samford enters the weekend with a record of 13-12 overall and 1-2 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs dropped two-of-three games at ETSU last weekend. Samford played a midweek game at Mississippi State Tuesday night, falling, 6-1.

Cameron Keshock on Saturday and the Bulldogs have not named a starter for Sunday's game. Creighton has listed right-handed pitchers Dominic Cancelleri, Wilson Magers and Jimmy Burke as its starting pitchers.
Cade Carr is currently leading Samford in hitting with a .381 (32-for-84) average with eight doubles, four home runs and a team-high 34 RBI. His batting average is third in the Southern Conference.
Jeffrey Ince is hitting .356 (31-for-87) with five doubles, three home runs and 19 RBI.
Parker McDonald is hitting .319 (23-of-72) with four doubles, four home runs and 16 RBI.
Jake Souders is hitting .306 (30-of-98) and he is tied for fifth in the SoCon with nine doubles.
Creighton enters the series with a mark of 14-6, the Bluejays have not started Big East play yet. The Bluejays won two-of-three games from Saint Mary's College over the weekend, and they earned a 10-0 midweek win over Omaha.
Creighton has been led so far this season by Nolan Sailors, batting .429 (33-of-77) with five doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI. Nate McHugh is hitting .327 (16-of-49) with three doubles and 15 RBI.
