Women’s Golf Set To Compete At SoCon Championship, Monday Through Wednesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team will compete in the Southern Conference Championship, Monday through Wednesday at Solina Golf Club (Par 72, 6,098 yards).
Samford's playing five for the event will be Gabi Nicastro, Anika Richards, Grace Engel, Christian Williams and Morgan Franklin. Ella Stoll will be available as a substitute.
The Bulldogs have been led so far this season by sophomore Nicastro. She leads the Southern Conference with a 72.68 stroke average in 25 rounds of play so far this season. She has won five tournaments during the 2024-25 season and has been named SoCon Golfer of the Week four times throughout the season.
Richards ranks second on the Samford team with a stroke average of 75.96. She has earned SoCon Golfer of the Week twice this season. Engel has a stroke average of 76.76, followed by Stoll at 79.05, Williams at 79.12 and Franklin at 79.80.
