BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford junior
Gabi Nicastro was named one of Tuesdays Birdies National Players of the Week Thursday morning.
This marks the second honor Nicastro has earned this week. She was named the SoCon Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, Nicastro took first place at the ULM Invitational with an impressive 13-under-par 203 (74-67-62). She shot a school-record 62 in Tuesday's final round, breaking the previous record of 65, set by Bailey Dunstain in 2024.
Next up, Samford will compete in the GolfWeek /Stifel Spring Challenge, April 6-8.
