High School:  Prepped at J.O. Johnson High School in Huntsville, Ala. . . . named a 3-star athlete by Future150.com and tabbed the third best player in the state of Alabama . . . a dominant, strong rebounder with tremendous athleticism and jumping ability, he averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as a junior while helping the Jaguars to the AHSAA Class 5A state championship . . . also led J.O. Johnson in scoring in the sub-regionals against Boaz (32 points) and the Northeast Regional championship game against Butler (21), and was named first-team all-state . . . chose to attend Samford University over official scholarship offers from Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Mercer and Tennessee Tech.
