Biography
Junior (2011-12): Finished the season with a stroke average of 74.9, which was ranked 30th in the Southern Conference . . . played an important role in Samford’s starting lineup and competed in seven tournaments for the Bulldogs . . . closed out the year with a total of 20 rounds played and earned his best finish of the season at the 2011 Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate where he finished tied for 12th place . . . concluded the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 1-under-par 215 (71-74-70) . . . earned a 26th-place finish at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate as he posted an even-par score of 219 (74-71-74) . . . his best rounds of the season were identical marks of 70 . . . fired his first 70 of the season in the third round of the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate . . . his second season-best score of 70 was achieved in the opening round of the 2012 The Hummingbird Intercollegiate . . . earned his third varsity letter.
Sophomore (2010-11): Proved to be a key contributor for the Bulldogs as he competed in all 11 tournaments of the season . . . finished the year ranked fifth on the team and 33rd in the SoCon with a 75.1 stroke average . . . concluded the season with a pair of top-25 finishes, including a personal-best, sixth-place performance at the Elon Intercollegiate with a three-round tally of 3-under-par 213 (68-76-69) . . . carded a 54-hole score of 4-under-par 212 (74-69-69) at the Austin Peay Invitational as he finished tied for 22nd at the 92-player competition . . . turned in his best single round of the season at the Elon Intercollegiate with a first-round score of 68 at the Sea Trail Golf Resort in Sunset Beach, N.C. . . . earned his second varsity letter.
Freshman (2009-10): Competed in 23 rounds for Samford as a true freshman and finished the season with a 76.4 stroke average . . . concluded the year ranked No. 52 in the final Southern Conference standings . . . played in eight tournaments for the Bulldogs and turned in his best performance of the season at the Samford Intercollegiate where he carded a three-round score of 225 (75-74-76) . . . earned a 22nd-place finish at the Samford Intercollegiate in the two-day competition held at Limestone Springs Golf Course in Oneonta, Ala. . . . registered his best round of the 2009-10 campaign at the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate as he fired a third-round score of 71 at the talent-laden competition . . . earned his first varsity letter.
High School: Graduate of Spain Park High School in Hoover, Ala., where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta . . . extremely talented golfer who is expected to break into Samford’s starting five as a true freshman . . . will be looked upon to add leadership to the Bulldogs’ young roster . . . an active member of Samford’s Student Athletic Advisory Council and the Dean’s Student Council for the Brock School of Business.
