2021 Fall Second Team All-SoCon

2021 (Fall): Played in all 11 games, starting five contests . . . named second team All-SoCon by the league’s coaches . . . finished the season with 63 tackles, including 28 solo stops . . . had 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks . . . also forced one fumble . . . tallied six tackles each against Western Carolina and Mercer . . . had seven tackles each against Chattanooga and Florida . . . tallied 10 tackles, including 2.0 for loss against The Citadel . . . had a career-high  12 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss against Furman. 

2021 (Spring): Saw action in all seven games at defensive tackle . . . tallied 33 tackles, including 15 solo stops . . . had 2.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries . . . had five tackles against Wofford . . . tallied five tackles, including 1.5 for loss against VMI . . . had six tackles at The Citadel . . . tallied a season-high nine tackles against Mercer.

Previous College: Seth Simmer is a graduate transfer from Dartmouth . . . in 2019, he was named the team’s Lester R. Godwin Award winner as the player who, through extraordinary perseverance, has risen above personal disadvantage to contribute measurably to the team . . . that season he played in every game on the defensive line, recording 26 tackles, 2.5 for loss with one sack . . . in 2018, he was named a Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year for playing after having a brain tumor removed the year before.

High School: He prepped at Harrison High School in Powder Springs, Georgia . . . he was selected 4-AAAAAA first-team both on defense and offense . . . he was a two-time second-team All-State selection .... he was named first-team All-County as a senior ... he was named Cobb County Defensive Lineman of the Year in his final season ... named All-County first-team defense his final season.
