Samford University Athletics

Abby Daniels is entering her second year as an assistant athletic trainer at Samford University, working with the softball and volleyball teams.

Daniels, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Berry College in Mount Berry, GA in 2016. From there, she completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2018.  

Prior to coming to Birmingham, Daniels worked as a resident assistant athletic trainer at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. There she was responsible for the softball and cross country teams.

Daniels is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the BOC. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is licensed to practice in Alabama.
