LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Six Bulldogs competed at Saturday's Greater Louisville Classic, as the men battled against a tough field towards a 16th-place finish in the 8k.

Samford's leader was sophomore Adam Jones, who placed 52nd overall in 25:53.56.  Fellow sophomore Luke Weishaar was the next Bulldog across in 26:06.54, placing 66th.  Lucas Sieb (82nd 26:25.01) and Layton Dorsett (86th, 26:33.23) finished close together in a large pack around the 26:30.00 mark, while James Graham (108th, 26:56.82) and Brandon Hazouri (117th, 27:06.72) rounded out the rest of the Bulldogs' competitors.

In two weeks, the Bulldogs will head southwest to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama Crimson Classic on Friday, Oct. 18 at Harry Pritchett Running Park.  The women's teams will run a 5k course at 5 p.m. followed by the men running an 8k course at approximately 5:30 p.m.
