BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University softball team hits the road for a double header matchup against Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. on Tuesday, March 23, with game one set to start at 2 p.m.
The Bulldogs (22-8, 2-3 SoCon) will face the Jaguars (1-23) for only the second time in the program's history. The only meeting between the two institutions came back in 2005 at the Southeastern Louisiana University Lion Classic in Hammond, La., where Samford took a 2-1 victory over Southern.

Junior

th of the season on Saturday, March 22, against UNCG. The record was previously held by Shelly Stanley who hit 10 back in 2006.
Sophomore
