BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford football team's 2014 season opener at TCU on Aug. 30 will be televised live on FOX Sports Net, the Big 12 Conference announced Thursday.
 
The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. (CT) kickoff from Fort Worth, Texas. The contest will mark the first-ever meeting between Samford and TCU in football.
 
Samford head coach Pat Sullivan was the head coach at TCU from 1992-97 and led the Horned Frogs to a share of the 1994 Southwest Conference championship.
 
The Bulldogs home opener is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, against Stillman College.
