CHARLESTON, S.C. – Due to heavy rain in the Charleston area, Samford's winner's bracket game in the Southern Conference Baseball Tournament, scheduled for Thursday evening, will now be played Friday at 8 a.m. (CT).
 
Samford advanced to the winner's bracket with an 8-7, 10-inning win over Western Carolina Wednesday morning. The Bulldogs will play Friday morning against the winner of Wednesday night's game between Furman and Wofford.
 
The winner of Friday morning's contest will advance to Saturday's semifinals. The loser of the contest will play an elimination game Friday night at 7:30 p.m. (CT). The championship game of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT).
