Samford Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule

FULL 2026 SCHEDULE

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
Games against SEC foes Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi State, as well as the always challenging Southern Conference schedule highlight the Samford baseball program's 2026 schedule, released on Tuesday.

"Once again, we believe we have put together one of the most challenging non-conference schedules in the country to go along with a league schedule in the Southern Conference that has been sixth and eighth in the country the last couple of years," Samford head coach Tony David said. "I want the schedule to yearly be the type of teams recruits want to come play against and one that helps in the development process yearly as we get better and better as the year goes on."

The Bulldogs will open the season with a home series against Belmont, Feb. 13-15, followed by a home game against Alabama on Feb. 17. Samford will then travel to Georgia for a three-game series against the Bulldogs, Feb. 20-22.

"The SEC games will stand out most when looking at the schedule as we go to likely top-five Georgia for three games and hosting three other outstanding SEC teams at our place," David said. "Last season the schedule was amongst the toughest in the nation and this year will be no exception. Our guys come here to win championships and play the best of the best. The non-conference schedule helps prepare us for the league and all of it gets us ready for post-season tournament action hopefully in May. Our priority now is Belmont to start the season and we will go from there."

After hosting North Alabama in a midweek game on Feb. 24, Samford will host Bowling Green in a three-game series, Feb. 27-Mar. 1. Samford will then play at Auburn on Mar. 3, followed by a four-game weekend series at Kennesaw State, Mar. 6-8. Samford then returns home to host Alabama A&M (Mar. 10) and a three-game series with Arkansas-Little Rock (Mar. 13-15).

Samford will play its next five games on the road. The Bulldogs will play a midweek game at Jacksonville State (Mar.17), followed by a weekend series to open Southern Conference play at Western Carolina (Mar. 20-22) and then a midweek contest at Troy (Mar. 24).

"Where the league has been in RPI the last couple of years, it has been worthy of true at-large contention," David said. "This is not a top-heavy league with one or two teams driving things, it has become a top to bottom very good league, and we want to win the Conference championship first, while putting ourselves in contention for at-large possibilities if we pile up wins."

The next weekend, Samford will step out of conference play with a home series against Presbyterian (Mar. 27-29). Samford will play a midweek game at West Georgia (Mar. 31), followed by a home SoCon series against ETSU (Apr. 2-4).

The Bulldogs will then play at Alabama (Apr. 7) and then host VMI in a SoCon series (Apr. 10-12). On April 14, Samford will play host to Mississippi State and then travel to UNC Greensboro for a road SoCon series (Apr. 17-19).

Samford will then host Auburn in the annual game at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium (Apr. 21). Samford's final non-conference weekend series will be a home series against USC Upstate, April 24-26.

The Bulldogs will host in-state rival Jacksonville State, April 18 and then will host Mercer for a SoCon series, May 1-3. Samford will play the next four games on the road, playing at North Alabama (May 5) and then playing a series at The Citadel (May 8-10).

Samford will wrap up the 2026 regular season with a home SoCon series. The Bulldogs will play host to Wofford, May 14-16, to conclude the regular season.

The Southern Conference Tournament will once again be held at Fluor Field in Greenville, S.C., May 19-24.

Ticket information will be released at a later date.
