th-ranked Samford football team will play host to the Western Carolina Catamounts Saturday at 6 p.m. at Seibert Stadium.

Samford enters the game with a record of 5-1 overall and 3-1 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs have won their last three games and are coming off a 55-21 win over VMI last week.
Western Carolina comes into the contest with a mark of 1-5 overall and 0-4 in SoCon play. The Catamounts are coming off a 38-24 loss at Mercer last weekend.
The Samford Bulldogs and Western Carolina Catamounts are meeting for the 14th time, with Samford holding an 11-2 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Oct. 24, 2015 in Cullowhee, N.C. Western Carolina took that game, defeating the Bulldogs by a score of 56-36.
