BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The Samford women's tennis team will travel to Lexington, Ky., for a pair of matches this weekend. The Bulldogs will play Miami of Ohio Saturday at 12 p.m., and then they will take on 20
th-ranked Kentucky Sunday at 9 a.m.

Samford enters the weekend with a record of 3-4 so far this season. The Bulldogs have played a challenging schedule so far this season. The team has played a pair of ranked opponents in Auburn and Mississippi State, as well as tough matches against strong teams in Georgia State, Middle Tennessee and UAB.

Samford's lineup has been led by senior
Jessica Northcutt (2-5) at No. 1 singles. Fellow senior
Carita Moolman (3-4) has played at the No. 2 singles position. Samford's representative at No. 3 has been senior

Ellie Gerlach (3-4) has played each match at No. 4 singles. Sophomore
Savannah Wood (4-3) has competed at the No. 5 position for Samford. Junior
Annika Hepp (3-3) and freshman
Georgina Jupp (0-1) have both seen action at No. 6 this season.

Northcutt and Moolman have been Samford's No. 1 doubles team, posting a record of 5-1 so far this season. Gerlach and Hepp have a record of 4-2 as a pair, playing at No. 2 (3-2) and No. 3 (1-0).

Miami of Ohio enters the weekend with a record of 3-4. The Redhawks are coming off a 5-2 win over Memphis on Feb. 20.

Kentucky is currently 9-1 on the season. The Wildcats have won eight matches in a row and are coming off a 4-0 win over Indiana on Feb. 24.
