Men's Golf To Compete In Tiger Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala.—The Samford University men's golf team will compete in the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Auburn University, Sunday through Tuesday at the Grand National Lake Course (Par 72, 7,149).

Joining Samford, and the host school, No. 23 Auburn in the tournament will be Kennesaw State, Missouri, James Madison, West Virginia, Charlotte, Troy, Minnesota, UNC Wilmington, Georgia State, South Alabama, Maryland, Louisville, UNC Greensboro, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Arkansas State and Davidson.

The teams will play 18 holes each day, Sunday through Tuesday. All three days will start with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Samford's playing five for the tournament will consist of Harlan Winn, Aaron Walker, Alec Stopperich, Garrett Moores and Jackson Seawell.

So far this season, Winn leads the team with a 75.25 stroke average in 12 rounds of golf. Walker has a 76.58 average over 12 rounds. Stopperich has averaged 75.44 in nine rounds, while Moores has a stroke average of 76.08 in 12 rounds. Seawell has posted an average score of 78.50 in eight rounds of golf.
