BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team will host The Citadel in the regular-season finale for both teams Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.
Samford enters the match with a record of 6-11 overall and 2-4 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs have won their last two matches, claiming wins over UNCG (4-3) and Chattanooga (4-3).
Samford has been led in singles this season by
Jake Faundez with a record of 8-7, and
Eduardo Lourido Sanchez with a mark of 8-5.
Max Rebol is 6-9 so far this season, while
Justin Ghavami is 5-11.
Hugo Moreira has a record of 4-9, while
Curran Verma is 4-13.
Austin Heinz has a record of 0-1 during the 2016-17 season.
The Citadel comes into Saturday's match with a record of 11-28 overall and 1-4 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 9-0 non-conference win over USC-Sumter.
