BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team will host Eastern Kentucky Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.
Samford enters the match with a record of 3-6. The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-1 loss at South Alabama last Saturday.
Seniors
Ellie Gerlach and
Roos van der Zwaan have held down the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions so far this season for Samford. Gerlach is 2-6 (2-4 at No. 1, 0-2 at No. 2), while van der Zwaan is 2-7 (0-3 at No. 1, 2-4 at No. 2).
Holly Horsfall has posted a record of 4-3 (3-3 at No. 3 and 1-0 at No. 4).
Grace Jennings has a record of 3-2 (3-1 at No. 5 and 0-1 at No. 6).
Elsa Pool is currently 4-4 (1-0 at No. 3 and 3-4 at No. 4).
Arianna Beltrame has a mark of 3-1 (0-1 at No. 5, 3-0 at No. 6), while
Amanda Kilduff is 1-0 at No. 6.
Eastern Kentucky has a record of 4-5 so far this season. The Colonels are coming off a 5-1 loss at Kentucky last Friday.
The match is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start at the Samford Tennis Center. Admission to both matches is FREE.
