BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-13, 25-18) victory over Wofford in Southern Conference action Saturday evening in the Pete Hanna Center.
With the win, Samford improves to 16-5 overall and 10-1 in Southern Conference play. Wofford falls to 11-13 overall and 4-6 in league matches.

- In the first set, Samford jumped out to an early 4-1 lead, but Wofford came back to tie the score at 14-14.
- With the score tied at 20-20, Samford scored the next five-straight points to take the match, 25-20.
- Wofford took an early 7-4 lead in the second set, but Samford came back to tie the score at 7-7.
- With the teams tied at 22-22, Wofford scored three of the final four points to take the 25-23 win.
- In the third set, Samford jumped out to an early 10-4 lead.
- Samford led the entire third set, earning the 25-13 win.
- The Bulldogs took an early 4-1 lead in the fourth set, but Wofford fought back to tie the score at 4-4.
- Samford was able to build a 15-10 lead, and the Bulldogs pulled out the 25-18 set win and the 3-1 match victory.
