GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Samford volleyball team picked up a hard-fought, 3-2 (27-25, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 17-15) win at Furman Saturday evening at Alley Gymnasium.
With the win, Samford improves to 19-5 overall and 13-1 in SoCon play. Furman falls to 6-19 overall and 6-8 in league matches.

- Furman jumped out to a 16-12 lead in the first set.
- Samford fought back to take a 21-20 lead.
- With the score tied at 25-25, Samford scored the final two points to take the set, 27-25.
- In the second set, Furman took a 14-10 lead, but Samford came back to take a 19-17 lead.
- With the score tied at 23-23, Furman scored the final two points to even the match with a 25-23 set win.
- In the third set, with Samford trailing, 19-14, the Bulldogs went on a 7-1 run to take a 21-20 lead.

- Samford answered with a 6-0 run to take a 13-11 lead.
- The teams went to extra points and Samford earned the 17-15 set win and the 3-2 match victory.
