BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team learned its NCAA Tournament opponent, and both basketball teams continued their seasons last week.
 
This week, volleyball will compete in the NCAA Tournament for a second-straight season, and the basketball teams will play key non-conference games.
 
VOLLEYBALL
The volleyball team learned its opponent and location for the first round of the NCAA Tournament when the selection show was held Sunday evening. The Bulldogs will take on Louisville Thursday at Western Kentucky's E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The men's basketball team earned a home win over AUM (97-64) Tuesday night in the Pete Hanna Center. Earlier in the week, the team dropped a pair of road games at South Dakota State (86-77) and Louisiana Tech (78-57).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The women's basketball team picked up two road wins during the past week. The Bulldogs won at North Alabama, 79-63 Wednesday night, and then won at Alabama State, 83-48, Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs also dropped a hard-fought game at cross-town rival UAB, 76-69, Tuesday evening.  
 
This week, the women's basketball team will travel to Lexington, Ky., to take on the Kentucky Wildcats Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT). For a full women's basketball schedule, click on the link below.
