FINAL RESULTS (PDF)

DADE CITY, Fla. – The Samford women's golf team came in fourth out of 15 teams at the Spring Break Shootout, held Monday and Tuesday at Lake Jovita Country Club (par 71, 6,056 yds.).
 
As a team, Samford shot a three-round score of 869 (287-293-289). Western Kentucky and Florida Gulf Coast tied for the tournament title with identical scores of 857, and FGCU won a playoff to earn the championship. Troy came in third at 866 (291-280-295).
 
Individually, Emily Uhland has a strong tournament, placing sixth out of 87 players. She finished with a one-over-par score of 214 (70-72-72). Madeline Davis also finished in the top 20 in the event, tying for 16^th with a score of 219 (77-70-72).
 
Mary Kate Horton tied for 23^rd with a three-round score of 221 (74-78-69). Sophie Membrino finished in a tie for 43^rd at 225 (74-73-78), while Hallianne Hobson tied for 48^th at 227 (69-82-76).
 
Ailsa Clark of FGCU earned individual medalist honors. She posted a three-round score of 206 (67-70-69).
 
Samford will return to action March 17-19, when the Bulldogs compete in the Bobby Nicholls Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tenn.
