SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- After the second round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, the Samford women's golf team sits in first place at 11 over par 579. The Bulldogs followed yesterday's 289 (+5) with a 290 (+6) to gain a four shot advantage over second place Marshall.
Samford is also at the top of the individual leaderboard at the tournament as well as the Bulldogs'
Emily Uhland followed up yesterday's 71 (E) with a 70 (-1) to sit alone in first place. Uhland's round featured six birdies, which puts her in first place for the tournament in birdies with nine. She also leads the tournament in par three scoring and par four scoring.
Uhland's teammate,
Madeline Davis, is right behind her in the individual standings as her two round total of 141 (+1) puts her in a tie for second place. Davis followed up a 74 (+3) with a 69 (-2) in the second round. Davis' second round 69 is the lowest 18-hole score of the tournament so far.
