BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – This week's Flashback Friday features the inaugural class of the Samford University Athletics Hall of Fame. The initial class of Bulldog Hall of Famers was officially inducted in ceremonies held on campus on Saturday, May 6, 2017. A look back at the event is available at the links listed below.
 
The inaugural class consists of Walter Barnes (basketball), Lauren Blankenship (track/cross country), Bobby Bowden (football), Wally Burnham (football), Cortland Finnegan (football) and Charlie Owens (tennis).
