BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University volleyball team will return home to pay host to the Furman Paladins Sunday at 4 p.m. and Monday at 6 p.m. at the Pete Hanna Center.
Samford enters the weekend with a record of 9-1, all in SoCon play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-1 win at ETSU last Monday. Furman has a mark of 4-6, all in league games. The Paladins are coming off a 3-0 loss to Western Carolina last Monday.

- Outside hitter Lauren Deaton was recently named the SoCon Offensive Player of the Month. She currently leads the SoCon and ranks fifth in the nation in kills per set at 5.19.
- Setter Corinne Meglic currently leads the league and ranks third nationally in assists per set at 12.00.
NEWS & NOTES
- Dating back to the 2019 season, Samford has won 18 out of its last 19 Southern Conference matches. The Bulldogs are 9-1 so far this season, and the team is on an eight-match win streak.
- This season, due to COVID-19 concerns, Samford will play only Southern Conference matches, playing each team on back-to-back days (Sundays and Mondays) at the same site.
