BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team will start its weekend off with a match at UAB on Friday, Mar. 26 at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs will then head to Johnson City, Tennessee for a match against the ETSU Buccaneers on Sunday, Mar. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex.
After back-to-back wins to open up conference play, the Bulldogs will enter this weekend with an overall record of 8-6, while UAB has recorded five wins and seven losses this season. ETSU currently sits at 5-6 and will face the Furman Paladins the Friday before taking the court with the Bulldogs.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH:
- Victor Chaw and Jim Hendrikx are making a statement for Samford in doubles with the duo being ranked No. 19 in the country in the ITA Division I Men's Doubles Rankings. This is the highest ranking in program history for the Bulldogs. The pair have yet to drop a match this season with an overall record of 9-0.
- Tomas Santantonio improved his overall record in singles to 10-2 with two wins this past weekend against the Citadel and UNC Greensboro. Santantonio defeated the Citadel's Phillip Quinn 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 6 spot, while capturing a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Roger Rogowski from UNCG at the No. 5 spot.
- Rossouw Norval continues to see success for the Bulldogs at the No. 1 spot with eight wins and just three losses this season. Norval also opened up conference play last weekend with back-to-back wins.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
- ETSU has recorded five wins and six losses with the Buccaneers dropping matches to No. 13 Tennessee, No. 25 Kentucky, William & Mary, Duke, No. 14 Wake Forest, and Georgia State. ETSU also holds a 3-0 record in conference play with wins over UNCG, Wofford, and Mercer.
- Dimitri Badra leads the Buccaneers in singles competition with eight wins and three losses on the season. In doubles, Juan Lugo and Frazier Rengifo, have a earned an overall record of 4-1 at the No. 1 spot with the duos one loss coming from their match against Wake Forest.
- UAB has a total of five wins and seven losses this season with one of the losses coming from fellow conference school, Chattanooga, as the Blazers dropped a 7-0 decision to the Mocs in early March.
- Michal Lusovsky has an individual record of 7-4 in singles action to lead the Blazers with six of those wins coming from the No. 2 spot. Lusovsky and his doubles partner Roman Postolka lead the charge for UAB with an overall record of 7-2 at the No. 1 spot.
