BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team will continue with conference play this weekend on the road with its first match taking place on Friday, Apr. 2 against Wofford at 2 p.m. and its second match the following day, Saturday, Apr. 3 at 9 a.m, against Furman.
The Bulldogs hold an overall record of 9-6 and 2-0 in the Southern Conference after securing wins over the Citadel and UNC Greensboro. Wofford sits at 6-7, 2-3 (SoCon) with its most recent loss coming from Chattanooga by a final decision of 7-0. Furman has a current record of 6-10, 3-1 (SoCon), capturing wins over the Citadel, ETSU, and Chattanooga. The Paladins will host Mercer University the Friday before taking the court against the Bulldogs.

- Eladio Fabregas is coming off a three-set, 6-3, 3-6, 6-0, victory over UAB's Thanos Spyropoulous to enhance his overall record to 10-5 on the season. Fabregas and doubles partner Tomas Santantonio have also seen success at the No. 2 spot in doubles for the Bulldogs with eight wins and just one loss.
- Victor Chaw and Jim Hendrikx continue with their winning streak after defeating Blazer duo, Daniel Janko and Vojtech Podzemny, by a 6-3 decision at the No. 2 spot this past week. The Samford partners are still undefeated on their season with an overall record of 9-0.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
- Omar Williams leads Wofford in singles at the No. 1 spot with seven win and six losses this season, while Will Fullett also holds an overall record of 7-6 with all seven wins coming from the No. 6 spot. In doubles, Williams and Bryce Keim lead the way with a record of 7-5 at the No. 1 spot for the Terriers.
- Ivan Mitric is a top competitor for Furman as he leads the Paladins with an overall record of 10-5 at the No. 1 spot. Doubles partners, Jake Bhangdia and Atlevi Henrik have locked in four wins and five losses at the No. 1 spot, while Emil Westling and Drew Singerman also have four wins this season at court three and seven losses.
