BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team will start off the month of March with an away match against Alabama A&M on Saturday, Mar. 6 at 1 p.m., followed by another match against Bellarmine on Sunday, Mar. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs blanked Tennessee State 7-0 last week to improve their overall record to 4-5 this season. Alabama A&M currently sits at 1-3 and will compete against Troy University the day before they face Samford on Saturday, Mar. 6. Bellarmine has a current record of 3-10 and will compete against UAB the day before the take the court against the Bulldogs on Sunday, Mar. 7.

- With his win against Tennessee State, men's tennis standout Rossouw Norval, improved his overall record at the No. 1 spot to 4-2 after defeating Stefan Koruga 6-2 6-1.
- Tomas Santantonio now has five wins total this season with one at both the No. 3 and 4 spots and three at the No. 5 spot. Santantonio defeated his opponent, Alberto Gonzalez-Raton from TN State, last week 6-1, 6-0.
- Doubles partners Victor Chaw and Jim Hendrix have a perfect 5-0 record this season. They have captured four wins at the No. 1 spot and one at the No. 2 spot.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
- Fellow Bulldogs, Alabama A&M, have captured one win and three losses this season. Their one win was against Mississippi Valley State where they earned a 4-0 victory. The have seen losses against UAB, Alabama State, and Southern Mississippi.
- The Bellarmine Knights currently sit at 3-10 on the season, capturing wins against Southern Indiana, IU Southeast, and Eastern Illinois. They have gone 0-8 on the road and 2-2 at their home courts.
