BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University volleyball team will travel to Johnson City, Tenn., for a pair of matches with ETSU, with the teams set to play Sunday at 3 p.m. (CT) and Monday at 4 p.m. (CT).
 
Samford enters the matches with a record of 7-1. The Bulldogs took the last week off from competition, and the team last played on Feb. 22, a 3-1 win at UNCG. ETSU has a mark of 4-4, and the Bucs are coming off a 3-1 loss at Western Carolina, Mar. 1.

• Outside hitter Lauren Deaton leads the SoCon and ranks second in the nation in kills per set, averaging 5.34 through the first eight matches of the year.
• Setter Corinne Meglic currently leads the league and ranks third nationally in assists per set at 12.00.

• Dating back to the 2019 season, Samford has won 16 out of its last 17 Southern Conference matches. The Bulldogs are 7-1 so far this season, and the team is on a six-match win streak.
• This season, due to COVID-19 concerns, Samford will play only Southern Conference matches, playing each team on back-to-back days (Sundays and Mondays) at the same site.
