CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The third-seeded Samford men's tennis team fell to top-seeded ETSU, 4-0, in the championship match of the Southern Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon at The Champions Club.
 
With the loss, Samford ends its season with a mark of 8-14. ETSU improves to 20-6 on the season and the Bucs earn the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
 
In doubles, Samford's Mohammed Ali Bellalouna and J.B. Pickard won on the No. 1 court, defeating Frazier Rengifo and Juan S. Zabala, 6-3. The Bucs, however, won on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to claim the doubles point.
 
In singles, ETSU won on the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 courts to close out the 4-0 win. The singles matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 were not finished.
