Pro Dogs: Week Two

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2022 NFL season is just getting started and there are several Samford Bulldogs scattered across NFL rosters.

Samford currently has four former Bulldogs in the NFL, with former standouts James Bradberry and Montrell Washington headlining as Samford's top NFL representatives. The pair is joined by Michael Pierce and Nick Williams

Nick Williams (Samford - 2008-12)
Week 3 Schedule: Cowboys at Giants (Monday, 7:15 p.m. CT)
After signing with the New York Giants in the offseason, Williams collected a pair of tackles in the Giants' 19-16 victory over the Panthers.

James Bradberry (Samford - 2012-15)
Week 3 Schedule: Eagles at Commanders (Sunday, 12:00 p.m. CT)
Former Bulldog great James Bradberry tallied a tackle and a pass deflection in the Eagles' 24-7 dismantling of the Vikings.

Michael Pierce (Samford - 2013-15)
Week 3 Schedule: Ravens at Patriots (Sunday, 12:00 p.m. CT)
In a losing effort, Pierce made a pair of tackles as the Ravens fell 42-38 to the Dolphins.

Montrell Washington (Samford - 2017-21)
Week 3 Schedule: 49ers at Broncos (Sunday, 7:20 p.m. ET)
Montrell Washington, who was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, returned a kickoff for 17 yards, four punts for 59 and had a rush go for 19 yards in a 16-6 Broncos victory over the Texans.
