BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2023 NFL campaign is just about halfway over with three former members of the Samford football team on active rosters and one on a practice squad.
  
Past Samford standouts James Bradberry is on the Eagles, Nick Williams is with the Chargers and Michael Peirce plays for the Ravens. Montrell Washington was promoted to of the Chiefs' active roster for Week 3 after opening the season on the practice squad, but was re-signed to the practice squad before Week 7.
  
James Bradberry (Samford - 2012-15)
Week 10 Schedule:  Bye Week
Former Bulldog great and All-Pro cornerback James Bradberry procured his best statistical game of the season as he collected a season-high six tackles and deflected a pass in the Eagles' 28-23 dramatic win over the Cowboys.
 
Nick Williams (Samford - 2008-12)
Week 10 Schedule:  Lions at Chargers (Sunday, 3:05 p.m. CT)
Nick Williams tallied a solo tackle as the Chargers nabbed a 27-6 victory over the Jets on Monday Night.
   
Michael Pierce (Samford - 2013-15)
Week 10 Schedule: Browns at Baltimore (Sunday, 12 p.m. CT)
Michael Pierce deflected a pass in the Ravens' 37-3 whomping of the Seahawks before celebrating his 31st birthday on Monday, November 6.  
  
Montrell Washington (Samford - 2017-21)
Week 10 Schedule: Bye Week
Montrell Washington was re-signed to the Chiefs' practice squad before Week 7. The Chiefs held on for a 21-14 win over the Dolphins in Germany.
