CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Both the Samford men's and women's tennis teams will compete in the Southern Conference Tournament, which will be held Thursday through Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The men's team posted a record of 10-10 overall and 5-2 in Southern Conference play this season, good for a tie for second place in the league standings. The Bulldogs are the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will take on the No. 5 seed Furman in Thursday's first round at 7:30 a.m. (CT).
The Samford women's squad finished the regular season with a mark of 12-7 overall and 4-3 in league action. The women are the No. 3 seed in the tournament, and the Bulldogs will take on the No. 6 seed Wofford Thursday at 2 p.m. (CT).
The championship match for both tournaments will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. (CT), with the winning teams earning the SoCon's automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.
