Men’s Basketball Announces Addition of Transfer Dallas Graziani

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford Men's Basketball Team announced on Monday the signing of transfer Dallas Graziani to the 2023-24 roster.

Graziani comes to Samford from Division II powerhouse Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he helped lead the Sharks to a 67-1 record over two seasons. The Pembroke Pines, Fla. native helped guide NSU to its first-ever national championship and just the sixth unbeaten national title season in the history of D-II Basketball in 2022-23, finishing with a record of 36-0.

Graziani finished second in all of D-II with 241 assists last season while averaging 6.7 assists per contest and 11.3 points. He was named to the NCAA Division II Championship All-Tournament Team, capping off the Sharks' national championship run with a 24-point, nine-assist performance in the championship game. Graziani also garnered Sunshine State Conference All-Tournament honors in 2022-23, posting 15 points and 13 assists in the Sharks' championship game victory over Embry-Riddle.

"We are extremely excited to have Dallas joining our basketball program," Head Coach Buclky McMillan said. "He has everything we're looking for in the guard position. He is a fierce competitor who's extremely tough. He is a good three-point shooter, a great defender, and his 31-point-per-game high school scoring average accentuates his ability to score the basketball. However, his greatest attribute is his ability to make his teammates better which equates to high-level winning. It's not a coincidence he's won at every level. From a high school to a D-II national champion, we look forward to Dallas bringing more championships to Samford."
