Baseball Announces 2023 Fall Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Head Coach Tony David of the Samford Baseball team announced on Thursday a list of important dates for the program's fall 2023 slate.

Highlighted the Bulldog's fall is a pair of scrimmages, beginning with a matchup with Southeastern Louisiana on Oct. 29. At MGM Park in Biloxi, Miss. The Bulldogs will also clash with the Tennessee Volunteers on Nov. 5 at First Horizon Park in Nashville, Tenn.

"We want to use these fall opportunities to challenge our guys as much as possible.," Coach David said. "Knowing we will finish our fall against a pair of quality teams is an outstanding extra incentive and motivation as we go through the grind of the fall workouts in preparation for the spring. Ultimately, that is what it is about."

Samford's annual "Scout Day" will take place on Sept. 27 while an umpire's scrimmage on Oct. 13 at the Hoover Met and its annual "Halloween Game" on Oct. 30 highlight other important dates on the fall schedule.

The Bulldogs will look to build on a 2022 season that saw them become the first Samford team to capture both the Southern Conference Regular-Season and Tournament Titles since joining the league in 2008, finishing with a 37-25 record.
