BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team turned in a strong performance, with most of the team hosting the first of two Samford Invitationals, while two players competed at the Jacksonville State Invitational to open the team's fall season this weekend.
In singles,
Maxwell Giddens and
Ben Kiblinger earned two wins apiece.
Maksim Bogdanovich,
Darcy Nicholls,
Santiago Arredondo,
J.B. Pickard,
Martin Schwartzman,
Harrison Williams and
Will Gray picked up one win each.
In doubles competition, Giddens and
Sandeep Mohandoss went 3-0. Bogdanovich and Arredondo and Nicholls and Williams had two doubles wins each.
The Bulldogs will next compete in the second Samford Invitational, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Samford Tennis Center.
