Samford Completes Competition at Alumni Bulldog Relays

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Samford men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Alumni Bulldog Relays, hosted by Mississippi State on Thursday through Sunday at the Mike Sanders Track and Field Complex.

A total of six Samford student-athletes posted top-three finishes during the three-day event.

On the women's side, Hannah Daffin started the weekend by finishing second in the hammer throw with a toss that went 50.45 meters. In the women's pole vault, Brittany Bishop placed third with a jump of 3.72 meters. Dorsey Parker recorded a jump of 1.60 meters to place third in the women's high jump.

On the men's side, freshman Kyle Kaufelds placed second in the men's javelin with a throw of 56.99 meters. In the 110-meter hurdles, Titus Moore finished second with a time of 13.93. Junior Ian Jones took home third in the men's triple jump with a jump of 14.05 meters.

Samford will next compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State starting on March 28.
